Palatial Furniture Notches Best Quarter - Doubles Presence At IHFC
The economic recovery may be slow in coming for many, but Palatial Furniture hasn't missed a beat, or experienced a down year — ever. The Jamestown, N.C.-based manufacturer of leather upholstery has relocated within the IHFC and more than doubled its space to 5,500 square feet. The company's new showroom is on the Eleventh Floor of the Design Center, D1130.
Palatial Furniture previously occupied showroom H1040 in the IHFC’s Hamilton Wing. “We had been at 200 North Hamilton and last year moved to IHFC even though it was less square footage than where we were. We wanted to be at IHFC,” Hoff said. When the new space in the Design Center opened up, Hoff knew he had to take it. "This move is important for us, as we can now display a lot more of our products the way we want to display it. We couldn’t be happier."
"We're a relatively young company, going into our sixth year," said John Hoff, President. "People are still discovering us. Nevertheless, every year we have finished ahead of the preceding year and we just closed the books on our best quarter ever."
Hoff credited the success to the hiring of a solid group of sales reps and his company's willingness to go the extra mile for customers. "We started as a full container company, but few retailers these days can swing that," Hoff explained. "So we allow less than containers and mixed containers while striving to hold pricing as though they ordered full containers." Palatial also maintains a warehouse in Archdale, N.C., and that program "has been very solid for us," Hoff said.
