Leather Italia, Oriental Accent to Show in the IHFC
Seeking more space and a wider audience to view their product offerings, two companies experiencing encouraging sales will open new showrooms to the IHFC for the Fall Market, Oct. 17-22, 2009.
“With the growth of our company, we felt like the timing was right for the move,” said Deborah Linkhorn, Director of Marketing for Leather Italia. The company will increase its showroom presence by about 50 percent from its former space at The Atrium, Linkhorn said. “The IHFC offers us an opportunity to show our new and expanding line to a larger audience of buyers.”
Similarly, Lynn Hamilton, Director of Sales and Marketing for Oriental Accent, cited the changing marketplace and buyers’ shrinking travel budgets as one of the motivations for her company’s decision. “Buyers are spending fewer days at Market, and are more efficient with their time. There is a lot of gravitation towards the IHFC for that reason. It’s attractive to similar manufacturers and therefore attractive to buyers.”
As always, Hamilton said, her company will be bringing a number of new introductions to Market. Known for its fine hand-painted porcelains, hand-painted and handcrafted furniture, lighting and accessories, Oriental Accent’s new space is on the Second Floor of the IHFC’s Hamilton Wing, H234.
Leather Italia will exhibit on the Twelfth Floor of the IHFC’s Design Center, D1220. The company has added a new division, Embassy, and plans to show upwards of 25 new frames, including nine new freestanding recliners. “We’ve added warehouse space, increased our inventory, expanded our line all to better serve our customers,” Linkhorn added. “We’re fortunate to be having a very good year.”
