Go confidently into the greatest home furnishings venue in the world with this booklet as your guide. For browsers, shop IHFC by wing, and from top floor down. By and large, each wing is merchandised by style and price point (more on that on the inside panels of this guide). Every wing has good vertical transportation — stairs, escalators and elevators — although some floors are not accessible by certain conveyances and we note those on the maps. If you have specific companies to visit, do some preplanning with your Resource Guide. Establish a route. A few minutes of strategy can save hours.
- When in doubt, look up. Overhead signs at corridor intersections point to the nearest wing, restroom and exit
- You Are Here signs at each elevator
- Most showrooms require you to be accompanied by a sales rep as you shop
- INTERHALL (Floor 1) & PAVILIONS on 3 have open showrooms; come and go as you please
- PRO TIP: Ride elevators to top floors, descend by the stairwells; they’re handy and no waiting. Please avoid “Emergency Exits” except in emergencies
