Buyers Win Cash, Exhibitors Snag PR In 3-3-3
Catherine McRoberts of Interiros, Inc. was going about her business at Market on Monday when she got a tap on the shoulder. Catherine was in the process of placing an order with Adam da'Costa of Forever Green Art in Pavilions on Main 3. The tap on her shoulder was Meredith Mowery, production manager for IHFC, and she had something for Catherine: an envelope with $300 cash. The inaugural 3-3-3 Promotion had its first winner.
To draw attention to the exhibitors on Third Floor, IHFC designed a special promotion for Spring Market to reward buyers caught in the act of writing orders. Meredith roamed the showrooms and, when she encountered a buyer doing business, she handed over the dough. Three times a day on the Third Floor, Meredith handed over $300 to a lucky buyer.
"We wanted something that would help increase the traffic in this part of the building," Meredith explained, "and boy this promotion was well received." The 3-3-3 Promotion earned sustained and prominent coverage by trade press throughout Market; which was great PR for the exhibitors, not to mention a lucrative stroke of luck for the winning buyers. In short, the promotion was a hit from every perspective.
Meredith said the promotion was such a success, IHFC will repeat it this Fall and expand it to include the entire building. "We don't have the details yet," she said, "but with the success of 3-3-3, there is no doubt we will do it again in a bigger way."
